Has anyone ever been on the clomid 150mg more then a month after not ovulating on it?

I had a 13.2 follicle when I was on the 100mg and I actually ended up ovulating. However, on the 150mg I had a 9 follicle. I have been on the 50-100-150mg. Now my doc wants to put me on gonadotropins. My insurance won't cover it so it will cost around 2500 a shot. Is it weird that my doc isn't trying me on the clomid 150mg for a second month? Do you think she is jumping the gun? I am very concerned.
