Otoplasty Ear Surgery question ?

I am going in for a consultation which alone costs $250. The surgery itself then goes for $7500. The cost for this surgery usually runs around $4,000-$5,000 however, the doctor I am seeing specializes in this surgery in particular. Is this too much to spend???...is the surgery that difficult and precise that a specialist can make that much of a difference??? Any suggestion???
