Universe was created in 6 days according to religious text does it mean 6 period of time?

Brother and Sisters At 1st I must say that I am a sincere Muslim.I heard Dr. Zakir Naik saying 6 periods of time by declaring YUAM as time but so far I know YUAM means day and not time. To me calling YUAM as time is a fake interpretation.There is also a hadith which tells that One day to the Creator is equal to 1000 years to human beings . So I believe 6 days mean 6000 years and not 6 period of time and also I know where did Zakir Naik found this idea it is from the book of Maurice Bukaily and so far I know his intention was not support Islam but to earn a lot of money from Muslims by writing a book supporting Islamic belief with science. I am requesting Muslims to support Islam from Islamic sources not from unreliable sources. At the same time many Muslims claim that Nepolean Benaport said a lot good words to support Islam but what I find he told those things to cheat Muslims and to establish Israel.
