Verbal abuse at home by parents. Legal?

Hi everyone, my parents have been fighting forever now. And it's non stop. My dad keeps on swearing and verbally abusing my mom. Things like "f**k your mom, I'm going to do this and that to her". My parents are already on the verge of divorcing anyway. So, I told my mom that if she stays quite, I will yell back at my dad and be against him. When I did this, he pushed me back because I was retaliating to what he was saying. I'm 15 years old, so I'm sorry if that didn't make sense, and if you please could, help me. I was just wandering if it was possible to call the police to stop my dad, even if it means arresting him. Thank you.
