Are women more discriminated in America than men or no?

Are women more discriminated than men or is it that women issues get more attention. For example almost everyone in america know about the wallmart case in which women were getting paid than less but not everyone knows that some states such as georgia and virginia which is known for executing people at a high rate has never executed a woman since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976. Also there have been many cases in divorce where a woman comes in with nothing and get half of the ets or more and even the house which she did not financially contribute to and otherwise would not have own on her own. So is it fair to say women are more discriminated when at times women get special treatment for being seen as weak and emotional.
