Is a 40 gallon tank too big for an adult leopard gecko?

Ok I just bought a 40 gallon tank for my 3 year old leopard gecko and I just want to know if that's too big or not. I have a hide on the warm side on the cool side and one in the middle. I have a moss hide on the warm side. I have a bowl for mealworms and one for his waxworm treats. I have two water dishes a calcium dish a fake cactus and palm tree and I feed him live cricks. Is that too big for him? I like to decorate and spoil him all I can.
