Whats this paint?(description inside)?

It was like pastel you could hold it in your hands but not as dry,more expensive my mom would never let me use them,one day I did and she yelled at me a lot,i loved them more then regular paint because you could hold it like a crayon but without me having to wet them they were pretty wet by themselves in a case with pastels and oil paints in a tube next to them. Can you please tell me what the ones I could hold in my hands like a crayon are called??
